9 Month Doctor Visit

Cora did such a great job at her 9 month check-up last week!  She cried only when she got her vaccination and was pretty much a happy camper the rest of the time =).  She's 2 1/2 inches taller than her last visit at 30 1/2 inches and weighs in at 19lbs 15oz.  Our little chub-a-lub is slowing down in the weight department, which the doc wants us to watch.  She recommended we stuff her with more milk at each feeding.  We've decided to see how things go without stuffing since she seems pretty happy as is.  She almost ate another band-aid after her anemia test (thank goodness it fell to the floor this time) and we hadn't even made it home yet!

They also do a developmental survey at 9 months to see how she's progressing in all areas.  She's doing great in her gross and fine motor skills, but needs to work on social skills.  She's come a long way in a week.  She's starting to share, sometimes waves, is great at clapping and we've gotten some high fives =).  The "so big", waves and leaving the object in my hand are still in progress.  Slow and steady =).

It's hard to believe 9 months have come and gone so quickly.  You can't hide things from her anymore, she'll find them and you can't leave things out anywhere because she'll find a way to get to them, trust me!  She's eating lots and starting to develop a dislike for certain foods.  Her zucchini and applesauce faces are similar with the "gag" face where mango and banana you can't serve to her fast enough.  She's sleeping so wonderfully again.  No more crying, just a peaceful sleeper.  And there appear to be 3 more teeth poking through to join her existing 4.  She'll be eating with all of us in no time!!
