Today was our first official day of music class.
Setting: 12-13 families sitting in a circle (16 kids ranging in ages from baby to 4)
Me: "Let's sit down with everyone else in the circle Cora!"
Cora: (gets up and walks around to socialize)
Teacher: "It's ok for kids to wander as long as they aren't touching others"
Cora: (mesmerized by a baby in a carrier walks over to him and reaches out to touch him)
Me: (runs over to stop her & returns to seat)
Baby's mom: (puts the cover over him)
Cora: (walks over to baby)
Me: (runs to stop her and carries her standing while singing outside the circle)
Me: (arms tire, put Cora down)
Cora: (walks over to baby)
Me...well, you get the picture
The only time Cora didn't walk over to the baby or try to take the stick out of another kid's hand was when the instruments were put out for the kids to play. Needless to say it was an exhausting class. She seemed to enjoy it, I'm pooped out, and I'm sure the other parents will remember who we are. Oh boy, 12 weeks here we come!
