Cora has been babbling nonstop lately and her babble is starting to make some sense...if only occasionally =).
Some highlights on the Cora can communicate reel:
* While reading her animal book, she points to the duck and says "qack qack".
* If a furry blue monster pops up on the TV screen you hear "goer" (Grover) in a very high pitched squeal.
* Page 2 of Where is My Belly Button triggers "cupa" (cup).
* Along with her hands in the air, she'll sometimes say "aw gaw" (all gone).
* "Ba" doubles as "bye" when accompanied with a wave and "ball" when she wants to play.
She's also been really into repeating what we say and do. Matt has taught her to grunt and growl and they have great repetition games where Cora keeps up quite well. =)
As far as following simple commands go, Cora can understand very well, but chooses when to follow them and when to run the other way. Today, Cora helped me push in one trashcan, started to help me push in another one, stopped, smiled at me, and ran the other direction to the neighbor's house. Apparently she wanted to play tag instead of doing chores =).
We're really enjoying watching her grow and develop. It's amazing how much little people can accomplish in such a small amount of time. It seems like yesterday Cora was just a little blob!
