Daycare week 2

This week has not gotten any easier.  Here's the run down:

3  Days in daycare this week

2  Days Cora has come home with scrapes and bruises

3  Mornings she did not want me to leave

3  Afternoons she cried when I picked her up (looks at me, waves, realizes it's me, cries until she's in my arms)

9  Meals/snacks she consumed without complaint (our very gooooood eater!)

5  New friends she enjoys playing with (or shall I say around)  I think she prefers when other kids follow her lead...she's definitely the bossy one and not the follower!

I thought the transition for Cora would be on the easier side.  But she's fallen into the attachment phase of her development and doesn't like mommy or daddy to leave.  On the plus side though, it's so great to see her playing nicely with and around other kids and seeing her become so talkative.  She's using her own version of words for all sorts of things now =).

It's still really hard to leave her and it breaks my heart every morning and afternoon.  It's only week 2...tell me it will get easier!!

Bumps and bruises from our clumsy cutie.  While other kids look before they leap Cora just leaps.

Bumps and bruises don't hold this stinker back!  She's still going to have fun with daddy =)

  1. It will get better! It's hard right now but it will be good for her to learn & play with other kids. Eventually she will get to the point where she loves it - it's hard for every parent, especially at this young age.
