We love how active the animals are in the morning and how light the crowds are so we spent another morning wandering around the zoo. Cora's interest was limited today, she was ready for some hands on playtime that didn't involve us telling her where to go!
We had to catch the pandas since the line is actually reasonable first thing in the morning!
Cora's smelling the fake flowers on the fake tree =)
Her version on smelling is different depending on the day. Often times she'll just put the object up to her lips or cheek like she's giving it a kiss or she'll blow on it.
One of the monkeys in the Orangutan enclosure.
The Orangutans were very interactive and posing for pictures right near the glass. Cora however was not in the mood for posing and was really excited to climb on the benches near the glass, then get down, then back up, then back down. Matt and I sure had lots of time to learn about the animals from the guides!
Pooped out from climbing on benches!
We parked ourselves in Koalafornia while Cora napped and enjoyed a snack, some peace and quiet, the view, and each other =).
Day 6: Sea World Take 2 =)
Another visit back to Sea World and we spent our time at the Sesame Street Bay of Play. You'd think doing the same exact thing again would get old, but oh no, she probably enjoyed it more the second time around! =)
Cora got to ride her two favorite rides again and again and again until Matt and I were too dizzy to ride anymore =)
Cora meets the Count
He was gesturing for her hand, but she thought he wanted knuckles. She fist bumped him about 4 times before Elmo came over and she ran over to give him a hug. Count felt a little rejected!
Cora gave Elmo lots of hugs! I guess he's like family =)
Water time!
Cora's usually cautious at first in a new situation. She ran into the center of the water area and watched tentatively as the other kids ran around her getting all wet.
FUN!
Soon enough though she always manages to throw caution to the wind and jump right in.
Trying to catch the water.
She could never catch the water stream, it always seemed to be too fast for her. Although it did manage to hit in her in the face many times as she stood over the hole trying to discover where the water had disappeared to. =)
All wet!
HUGS!
One final try at the duckie game and she managed to get the large duckie to complete her collection. The "big one" as Cora calls him sleeps with her in her crib still and "duckie" comes with her everywhere.
