Happy 3 months Avery! =)
She's smiling and cooing a lot now. Her "happy place" is on the changing pad upstairs in her room. Even when she's crying, laying her down on the pad makes her stop and smile and often she'll start up a little conversation. She's sleeping better now both during the day and at night, so we're all getting more rest (though somehow Cora seems to come in more often now at night). She's adjusted to the new Lillebaby carrier nicely, best investment ever!
Avery is still a good little eater and weighed in at 12lbs 10oz (putting her in the 90th percentile) at her 2.5 month check up. She's in the 80th percentile for height and the 60th percentile for head size. We definitely notice her smaller stature in comparison to baby Cora who was always above the 100th percentile in everything!
Cora seems to be getting used to Avery and the idea that she's her little sister, not just a baby that cries all the time. =) Cora's been voluntarily showing Avery toys, laying with her, reading to her, singing songs, and holding hands. The first time it happened unprompted I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. =) Avery seems to adore Cora already. She's fascinated with all the noises Cora makes and all the crazy movements! It's been such a relief to see them getting along =)
